Sup Broskies?!

So I hate introductions--they're always really awkward. Haha, so lets just jump right in here :]

My name is Sara Dada (apparently that means dreadlocks, which symbolize strength, in Africa). I go to Wheeler High School in Marietta, and I'm actually in the science, math, and technology magnet program--so technically, I'm a crazy science nerd. But, I really love to write. I am mostly into creative writing, and a lot of poetry. I don't really have any experience with journalism, but that's why I'm here! Feature writing seemed to be the best fit for me and I just want to learn what journalism is all about and get some experience and maybe it will influence me in the future.

I am probably the most unathletic person ever--probably because of my very limited coordination skills. But I am in my school's winterguard and it's pretty awesome. Not many people know about winterguard or what it is, but it's actually really awesome and at the high levels the stuff they do is absolutely unbelievable. Mint chocolate chip ice cream is the best flavor ever--especially Kroger's mint moose tracks! So delicious! I am obsessed with sunglasses, because I wore glasses for about 7 years and was deprived. So the day I got contacts, I started my little collection--though it isn't as bad as before. But I love buying sunglasses, it's the best!

I don't really know "what I want to do with my life." I grew up knowing that I would be a doctor, but being older has opened so many doors that I never could have dreamed of, and as cliche as it is: the possibilities are literally endless. Science is cool, writing is cool, but I just know that whatever I do, I want it to be beneficial. For it to just affect one person in the world in a positive way. Again, it seems so cliche and it's really broad, but it's just something that's been in my head for years.

So yeah, that's me! I'm super excited about the rest of this week and can't wait to meet you all!
